Stem and Leaf Plot

A Stem and Leaf Plot is a special table where each data value is split into a “stem” (the first digit or digits) and a “leaf” (usually the last digit). For example:

For every first digit of a number, it is in the “Stem” part. The other digit is in the “Leaf” part. For example, on the first row beneath the “Stem” and “Leaf” part, it says “Stem 1 Leaf 2.” This means that the number is 12.

You can also use decimals:
