Hazel: A young leader of the group of rabbits. Fiver’s brother. Hazel lead the group through predators and conflicts. He is a quick thinker, often putting himself at risk in order to save othes.
Fiver: A small rabbit, Hazel’s brother. He is a seer, which means he can predict things that others couldn’t. Fiver creates the entire book, since without him, the group wouldn’t have left.
Bigwig: The strongest rabbit. Bigwig saved the group many times. He is particularly strong in military tactics. He knows when to avoid fighting, such as the lendri.
General Woundwort: The antagonist. He is the only rabbit stronger than Bigwig. He was the head of Efrafa.
Captain Holly: A member of the Owsla in the Sandleford warren. He is a good tracker and a strong fighter.
Captain Campion: Woundwort’s best captain. He is an amazing tracker, even better than Captain Holly.
Blackberry: The smartest rabbit. He helps the group many times, including the crossing of the river and the snare. He is often relied on by Hazel.
Dandelion: The fastest rabbit. He is fond of stories.
Kehaar: A bird that helps the group a ton. He becomes a good friend of Bigwig. He is strong and is really grateful, since the group helped him.
Strawberry: A rabbit who left the warren of the snares. Strawberry was soft at first, but he helped create the Honeycomb.
Buckthorn: Strong and large, like Silver and Bigwig. He is quiet and straightforward.
Silver: He has grey fur and he is a member of the Sandleford Owsla.
Cowslip: A rabbit from the warren of the snares. Cowslip shocks Hazel and Blackberry when he laughs at them. He was almost killed by Holly.
Bluebell: Holly’s friend. He uses humor to lighten up dark times.
Clover: A doe. She was the one who bore a litter in the new warren.
Hyzenthlay: A doe from Efrafa. She helps Bigwig free other does.
Acorn: A rabbit. He does his best to help the group. Along with Hawkbit and Speedwell, they weren’t happy at the beginning.
Hawkbit: A rabbit. He does his best to help the group. Along with Acorn and Speedwell, they weren’t happy at the beginning.
Speedwell: A rabbit. He mated with Clover. Along with Hawkbit and Acorn, they weren’t happy at the beginning.
